Excited to announce that my new full-length play, Don’t Ask, was awarded Redtwist Theatre’s Independent Project Initiative grant. The grant will fund a third and final phase of development in Chicago, culminating in a publicly staged workshop. Slated for fall 2026, this final phase of development will send the project into its professional world premiere.

I just signed on as dramaturg for Shualee Cook's commissioned translation of Shakespeare’s Love's Labour's Lost. Stay tuned for its premiere in 2027-2028 at the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis.

Just returned from guest directing my new play, Don’t Ask, as the spring production of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s mainstage season. I was shocked by how effective the content of the show landed on audiences in the deep South and thoroughly enjoyed teaching undergraduate students in an array of workshops and master classes alongside my contract.

Don’t Ask just had its first phase of development at Red Mountain Theatre Company. For two weeks the cast, director, and I workshopped the play, engaging in fruitful discussion that culminated in a staged reading as a part of the Human Rights Festival of New Works.

Just returned from the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where I spent the summer training intensively amidst the California redwoods. I advanced my expertise in Alexander Technique, Laban, mask work, ensemble devising, and physical storytelling to directly enrich my teaching and professional development.

I moved to Chicago and have been making it my home slowly but surely. I have been slowly stretching my theatre legs, directing staged readings at Chicago Dramatists, including Keegon Schuett’s Faithful Flame.

I am thrilled to rejoin Missoula Children’s Theatre in Montana this summer to support their new post-COVID programming! I will be directing upcoming productions of The Frog Prince, The Wiz of the West, and Jack and the Beanstalk, as well as choreographing Seussical Jr. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the return of educational theatre.
Making sense of 2020
After the pandemic plummeted me from New York City and back to my roots at the base of the Appalachian foothills, I began a new temporary path towards greater presence with myself. In October of 2020, I took thirty days to solo backpack the Vermont Long Trail, a 273-mile trail from the Massachusetts state line to the Canadian border. Then, in March of 2021, I took sixty days to hike the Arizona National Scenic Trail with my partner. The trail is just shy of 800 miles from the Mexican border to the Utah state line.

The International Fringe Encore Series is underway! As assistant producer, I worked on eighteen selected new works from the Edinburgh Fringe and others across the globe to SoHo Playhouse for their Off-Broadway premieres.

In the summer of 2017 and 2018, I worked as a tour director and teaching artist for Missoula Children’s Theatre. During the contracts, I taught beginning through advanced acting and improvisation to grades K-12. Additionally directing Beauty Lou and the Country Beast and King Arthur's Quest.
